The Steffes Pressure Regulating Blower (PRB) is a cost-effective, emissions-compliance solution that allows operators to safely reduce tank pressure and minimize the risk of methane leaking into the atmosphere from the thief hatch.
As pressure builds in holding tanks, the PRB is engaged, sending excess gas to be burned by the flare on location, efficiently and reliably combusting volatile organic compound emissions.
Operators can install the Steffes PRB on new sites or use it to retrofit older sites without upgrading lines or equipment. Our system is designed for optimum operation, with automated controls and programming to protect the integrity of the equipment, including auto-cycling and auto-shutdown features.
The unit comes as a prefabricated package, including a motorized blower mounted on a skid table, complete with a UL-listed controller. Its Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) touchscreen makes it easy to use and provides a range of features to safely reduce back pressure and improve well site productivity.
Our service team has the ability to laser-align the PRB motor and blower shafts to ensure proper operation 24/7. They’re just a phone call away!
