Mike brings more than twenty years of leadership experience across engineering, manufacturing, and distribution. His background includes guiding both private-equity backed and family-owned organizations through periods of growth and transformation, while strengthening operational performance and leadership capability. His experience supports a leadership perspective that connects strategy to execution and innovation to reliability.

Mike leads with a people centered philosophy that emphasizes trust, accountability, and leadership development. This approach strengthens organizational performance while ensuring Steffes remains grounded in its values as it continues to evolve. Mike holds a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University of Chicago.

 

Peter Rackov, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Peter Rackov is the Chief Financial Officer of Steffes, providing steady, disciplined financial leadership that supports the company’s long-term strength, resilience, and growth. He plays a central role in ensuring Steffes operates with financial clarity, sound governance, and the ability to make confident, informed decisions that benefit customers, partners, and employees alike.

With deep experience across financial management, analytics, risk oversight, and enterprise systems, Peter brings a balanced perspective that connects financial performance to operational execution. His leadership helps ensure Steffes remains a reliable, well run organization with the scale, stability, and insight required to serve complex markets and long-term customer needs.

Since joining Steffes in 2012, Peter has been a consistent steward of the company’s financial integrity, supporting sustainable growth through disciplined planning, thoughtful investment, and strong controls. His background across a broad range of financial roles has shaped a comprehensive understanding of how financial strategy, risk management, and operational efficiency work together to strengthen an organization over time.

Peter holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from John Carroll University and is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive license).

 

Samantha Erhardt 

Chief Manufacturing Officer

Samantha Erhardt serves as Chief Manufacturing Officer at Steffes, where she leads manufacturing and supply chain operations with a commitment to operational excellence. Her leadership strengthens Steffes’ ability to meet customer commitments while advancing safety, quality, reliability, and scalable performance in support of the company’s long-term strategy and financial success.

Since joining Steffes in 2014, Samantha has advanced through roles of increasing responsibility, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the organization’s operations —from continuous improvement initiatives to enterprise-level manufacturing leadership. Her experience encompasses operations management, integrated supply chain leadership, and large-scale production oversight. She also played a key senior leadership role in the successful launch of the Shelby, North Carolina production facility, helping establish a disciplined approach to execution, capacity planning, and process optimization.

She brings a strong technical and operational foundation to her role, supported by a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the South Dakota School of Mines and a Master Certificate in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University. 

 

Todd Mayer, PE

Chief Revenue Officer

Todd Mayer is the Chief Revenue Officer of Steffes, leading the company’s product, market, and customer strategies to drive sustainable growth and long-term value. His leadership connects innovation, commercial execution, and customer insight to ensure Steffes delivers practical, differentiated solutions across the industries it serves.

With more than twenty-five years of engineering and leadership experience, Todd brings a deep technical foundation paired with a strong market perspective. An engineer at his core, he has spent his career translating complex customer challenges into reliable, high-quality products, guiding teams from concept through development, manufacturing, and launch. His background enables close collaboration across engineering, operations, sales, and marketing, ensuring solutions perform reliably in real world applications.

Todd joined Steffes in 1998 and has worked across nearly every aspect of the organization, building a comprehensive understanding of the company’s products, processes, and markets. He has led engineering, product development, sales, and marketing functions, while serving as a strong customer advocate and champion for innovation. His leadership has supported successful product introductions, disciplined growth across business units, and long-standing customer partnerships built on trust and performance.

Todd holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University, a master’s degree in Engineering Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an executive leadership certificate from Harvard University.

 

Kim Heidt 

Chief People Officer 

Kim Heidt serves as the Chief People Officer at Steffes, where she leads the company’s people and culture strategy in support of long-term growth and organizational performance. She is responsible for developing talent, strengthening leadership capability, and shaping a culture that enables Steffes to execute business priorities and deliver value to customers.

With extensive experience across human resources, leadership development, and organizational effectiveness, Kim brings a thoughtful, practical approach to developing people and driving performance. Her work focuses on building strong leaders, scalable systems, and a culture grounded in accountability and Steffes’ core values.

Since joining Steffes in 2017, Kim has played a key role in guiding the organization through periods of growth and change, strengthening talent practices, leadership development, and employee engagement. Her experience across multiple industries provides a well-rounded perspective that connects people strategy directly to business performance and organizational readiness.

Kim holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a focus in Human Resources Management from the University of Mary.
