Steffes Internship Program: Fueling Long-Term Success

The Steffes internship program is designed to give college students more than just work experience, it’s an opportunity to learn about our business firsthand. We offer both summer internships and co-op positions that may be required for students to complete their degree. While internships typically last three months, co-ops extend further, combining the summer term with additional work experience during a semester of college.

Throughout their time with us, interns gain access to mentorship, networking opportunities, and real projects that help them strengthen both their technical and soft skills. Along the way, they uncover unique talents and passions while making meaningful contributions across various industries. This well-rounded approach has proven to be a win-win for both Steffes and our interns. In fact, 16 of our current full-time employees first began their careers here as interns.

Tyson Miedinger, design engineer at Steffes, is a prime example of that journey from intern to full-time. “The internships were fast paced from the start and never slowed down. When I came back full-time, it felt like I had never left, Steffes had fully prepared me for the transition into a full-time role,” said Tyson. “Through all my internships I was able to explore different areas of the company that I was interested in. That helped me make my final decision, and the work that I do today is something that makes me want to stay at Steffes.”
