Fostering Growth and Collaboration with Local Business Leaders

Steffes founder Paul Steffes recently welcomed six business leaders from across North Dakota to our Dickinson facility for a day of collaboration, thoughtful discussion, and leadership development. Tom McDougall of High Point Networks, T.J. Russell of Cloverdale Foods, Lynn Moser of Inland Oil, Guy Moos of Baker Boy, Jason Hageness of Harlow’s, and Mike Bullinger of Western Products.

These individuals, along with Paul, are members of the Guardian cohort, which is part of the Prairie Family Business Affinity Peer Group. For the past five years, they have met quarterly, rotating each meeting to a different member’s facility, where participants are greeted with a tour and an open discussion about their businesses.

The group’s meetings are completely confidential, creating a trusted space for members to talk through challenges, share experiences, and explore new opportunities. Paul described the experience as “a time to share things that we probably don’t have others to share with,” adding, “It is very important for me to attend, not only for my own growth, but because I know I’m helping others too.”

We are grateful for the chance to participate and to host local business leaders, providing them with a place to foster relationships that support growth, innovation and success for generations to come.
