THE SOLUTION TO
VOLATILE PEAKS
When the Canadian government passed a regulation prohibiting fossil fuel-burning furnaces from homes in Québec, one state-owned utility faced a unique problem: the existing grid could not support the peaks that would occur due to a rapid increase in electrically-heated homes.
The solution? Steffes ETS.
Steffes partnered with the utility to develop the Serenity forced air furnace. This ETS heating system is capable of drawing power from the grid during off-peak periods, allowing the utility to better manage grid capacity.
