“Steffes Magic” shared with more than 1,100 area students at 2024 SW ND Manufacturing Day

Team Steffes joined SW North Dakota’s “Big 5” manufacturing companies—Baker Boy, Fisher Industries, KMM, and TMI, —along with other local manufacturers and educational institutions at the Biesiot Activities Center for Manufacturing Day on Wednesday, October 2.

High school and middle school students from across the region were invited to participate in a “career fair” of sorts, where they had the opportunity to learn about the various career paths, and necessary education and training, available to them in the world of manufacturing.  

Students engaged in hands-on manufacturing activities, including a LEGO challenge, where they teamed up to build LEGO characters. One student described the shapes and colors while guiding their partner to assemble the pieces, showcasing the importance of communication and teamwork in manufacturing!

Steffes was well-represented across multiple departments, including Engineering, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Maintenance, Marketing, and Continuous Improvement, as we connected with more than 1,100 students at the event. We are thankful for opportunities like this to build lasting relationships with future talent and showcase what the “Steffes Magic” is all about!
