Steffes Values: A TSHIRT We Always Wear
Core values are the foundation of everything we do at Steffes. Every day, we are committed to embodying Trust, Safety, Humility, Integrity, Respect, and Teamwork (TSHIRT). These principles drive our business forward, binding together the innovation and quality that define our work and the people behind it all.
Three members of our Shelby team found a creative way to provide a daily reminder of their importance to the team in Shelby by adding the acronym “TSHIRT” to their tier boards. In manufacturing, tier boards serve as a space for structure, reflection, and collaboration, helping us review safety, quality, delivery impacts, and team achievements.
With the addition of TSHIRT, team members have a new opportunity to recognize each other for their commitment to our core values. For example (and yes, this really happened!): “Yesterday, Troy embodied integrity when he was unsure about a weld. Instead of passing over it, he asked the quality team to review his work.”
“This is a really natural way to drive culture on a daily basis and recognize employees,” said Samantha Erhardt, Vice President of Operations. “The acronym really resonates with the Steffes team.”
