Connecting the Classroom to Careers: Welcoming CTE Counselors to Steffes

Steffes welcomed seven Career and Technical Education (CTE) Counselors from across North Dakota for a day of learning, connection, and exploration. The counselors representing schools from Bismarck, Bowman, South Heart, Watford City, and Williston visited our facility to gain a deeper understanding of who we are and what we do.

Steffes Learning & Development Manager Kristal Fields led the presentation, highlighting Steffes’s capabilities, workplace culture, and our commitment to workforce development. She also shared information about training programs and career advancement opportunities we offer internally, critical knowledge that helps counselors feel confident in recommending Steffes as a potential employer to their students.

Career and Technical Education plays a vital role in North Dakota’s workforce strategy. Established in North Dakota through legislative action and state-level initiatives, CTE consists of eight areas, also known as Career Clusters, to help students with the skills and knowledge they need to be prepared for college and a career.

By partnering with CTE leaders, we are helping build a stronger future for students and schools.
