Steffes Flares Earn High-Efficiency Certification from NDDEQ

Did you know?

Steffes Air Assist and Variable Orifice flares are designed with high combustion and destruction efficiencies—earning us a spot in the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality’s (NDDEQ) High Efficiency Program!

What is the NDDEQ program?

It is a voluntary program created to reduce fugitive emissions, increase control efficiency, and improve North Dakota’s air quality. By taking a top-down approach to addressing emissions in the oil & gas industry, this program encourages high-performing flares, like Steffes flares.

How did we get approved?

Steffes pressure-assisted flares go through rigorous third-party testing. Those results are then reviewed by the NDDEQ to certify our pressure assisted flares for the program and obtain 99% Destruction and Removal Efficiency (DRE).

With this certification, we’re proud to help our customers meet environmental goals while keeping efficiency and reliability at the forefront.
