Steffes Explores New Manufacturing Innovations at FABTECH 2024

Steffes employees Jeremy Jahner, Director of Manufacturing Excellence, Cole Honeyman, Engineering Supervisor, and Steve Zitzow, Engineering Supervisor, attended the 2024 FABTECH Expo in Orlando, Florida, last week to stay on top of trends in the ever-evolving manufacturing industry.

The annual FABTECH Expo is North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding, and finishing event. Bringing together over 40,000 buyers and manufacturers to explore over 1,500 suppliers while learning about new innovative solutions and tools to improve productivity.

During their time in Florida, they had the opportunity to explore advancements in powder coating technology. “FABTECH gave us a chance to connect with powder vendors, discuss the latest innovations, and identify the products that will help us elevate our processes,” said Jahner. “We also explored the equipment necessary to bridge the gap and achieve the next level in powder coating.”

In addition to powder coating innovations, the team explored automation options that would enhance the existing robots, collaborative robots (cobots), and paint technology at Steffes. They also delved deeper into automation solutions for assembly and material handling, all with the goal of driving further success on the production floor.

Jeremy, Cole, and Steve are excited to bring these cutting-edge solutions back to Steffes, where they can help further propel the company’s growth and excellence.
