Leading the Way: How Collaboration with State and Federal Agencies Drives Flaring Compliance and Innovation

Over the years, our collaborations with agencies like the State of North Dakota’s Department of Environmental Quality and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have been nothing short of transformative. These relationships have played a crucial role in shaping our understanding of flaring regulations, like Quad Ob, to ensure our products meet the highest standards.

Co-President Todd Mayer reflected on this journey, sharing the significance of these establishing these connections. “In the beginning, we reached out to the state to really understand flaring regulations and to ensure our products meet them,” Todd explained. “This initial outreach has led to productive meetings with state officials, who then introduced us to the EPA and other regulatory bodies, continuing the conversation on flaring regulations, compliance and enforcement.”

This ongoing dialogue and open-door approach with state and federal agencies have allowed us to stay at the forefront of flaring compliance and innovation. “We’ve chosen a leadership role in really understanding regulations,” said Todd. “We take the initiative to continue to understand them as they change, and we plan to continue this into the future.”

As regulations continue to evolve, this forward-thinking approach not only sets us apart but also reinforces the trust and collaboration that have defined our relationships with other federal and state agencies including the Texas, New Mexico, Utah, and Montana Departments of Environmental Quality.
