Paul Steffes to speak at 9th Annual Great Plains & EmPower ND Energy Conference
Steffes CEO, Paul Steffes, will speak at the 9th Annual Great Plains & EmPower ND Energy Conference on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at the National Energy Center of Excellence at Bismarck State College campus.
The Great Plains & EmPower ND Energy Conference is an annual event, focusing on regional and federal energy policy. The event includes topics on global oil and gas outlook, renewable energy integration, statewide and national energy policy, and new technologies. Attendees of the conference represent regional energy companies, entrepreneurs, government officials, and research and education institutions. Jointly participating in the conference are US Senators John Hoeven and Heidi Heitkamp, Congressman Kevin Cramer, and ND Governor Jack Dalrymple. The conference will have highlights this year on global oil and gas development, North Dakota’s response to 111 (d), energy innovations, and more.
Paul will take part in an afternoon session “North Dakota’s Energy Innovation Renaissance” starting at 2:15 p.m. central time. Conference attendees will learn more about the North Dakota’s important role in the innovation economy and how policy contributes or hinders the successful deployment. North Dakota is a hub of diverse natural resources and an incubator for emerging, value-added technologies. Included on the panel is Mike Jones, VP of Research and Development for Lignite Energy Council; David Morton, VP of Operations & Safety of FlightScan Corporation; and moderator Dale Niezwaag, Sr. Legislative Representative of Basin Electric Power Cooperative.
